The most important and benchmark competition for cocktails at a global level, World Class, celebrates ten years in Panama this May. This platform, which was founded in London in 2009 as a brotherhood of bartenders for bartenders, has become the most important and demanding competition in the world of cocktails. To date, World Class has trained more than 250,000 bartenders in over 60 countries.
In Panama, World Class is presented by DIAGEO, the world’s leading spirits company, together with Global Brands. The Kick Off began last March, when 30 participants gathered, representing more than 20 of the best restaurants and bars in the city.
This year, World Class will preserve the current biosecurity measures and implement challenges, including the World Class Cocktail Festival, which will consists of a bonus challenge that awards 5 points to the bartender who manages to win this challenge.
Participating venues will benefit from the Business of Bars Program, a global initiative by Diageo to support bars and restaurants where the company operates and in which the most important commercial partners participate.

This year, the restaurants participating in the competition and that will benefit from the Business of Bars Program are Miss Cho, Lazotea, Goza, Casa Casco, Fonda Lo Que Hay, La Selva, Bottle Alley, La Marla, Tacos La Neta, Kiki, La Pulpería, Plaza Causeway, Salvaje, Dr. Funk, Austin Mama’s, 5inco, Gobe, Azahar, Intimo, Casa Blanca and Maito.
World Class not only awards the best mixologist in the world, but it is also a platform where brand trends and innovations are presented to develop international trade and define the future of cocktail experiences.
