The strategic alliance between the Tourism Promotion Fund of Panama and Globalia Group seeks to strengthen the arrival of international visitors by improving the advertisement of the country’s tourist attractions to call the attention of travelers from Spain, France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Portugal. This promotion campaign will be carried out through printed and digital channels that Globalia has consolidated over the years, including wholesale and retail companies such as Air Europa, Travelplan, Halcón Viajes, among others.
With this alliance, Panama will join a wide network of tourism companies that are part of this group, positioning the country among the most sought-after tourist destinations in the European market. Besides, the positioning and market penetration of Globalia Group, as well as its extensive network of tourism services companies, will significantly increase the visibility of Panama as a destination, while reaching new groups of potential travelers.
The signing of this cooperation agreement seeks to attract around 20 thousand European tourists into Panama in a period of one year. The agreement establishes that the promotion will be carried out through different advertising channels with the purpose of increasing tourist traffic towards the country. This means that Panama will be highlighted as a destination in Air Europa’s aircraft fleet, from its onboard magazine “Europe”, the airline's digital channels, and through promotional videos/spots in the entertainment system, thus associating Panama with the airline.
These actions also contemplate the promotion of Panama through Halcón Viajes y Viajes Ecuador, the digital assets of the Travelplan. Banners will redirect users to a microsite that will allow showing the best places and unique experiences that Panama offers in addition to the country’s geographic, cultural, and gastronomic information. To this is added the promotion of Panama in more than 820 travel agency offices which are members of Globalia Group; a company that has more than 45 years of experience within the tourism market.
