Recently, the coasts of Playa Venao in the town of Pedasí witnessed the first mini-cruise ship disembarking on its coast. This boat came from Costa Rica with a group of tourists to discover this paradisiacal destination and live an authentic experience in Panama.
The itinerary began with the transfer of 26 European tourists to the main square of Pedasí where they were received with the rhythm of typical Panamanian music. The group also visited the Moscoso Family Museum and the Santa Catalina Church of Alejandría de Pedasí so that visitors will get to know a little bit about the history and culture of the town. The tour continued with a visit of the colorful walls and painted murals that adorn the colonial facades of Pedasí as part of the project "Pedasí, a nice colorful town".
Tourists had the opportunity to live the experience of preparing a traditional corn fritter with white cheese, and one of the participants was chosen to dress the typical “Montuna” skirts. At the end of the day, this tour showed the best of the Azuero coast, ending with a brief tour to Los Gavilanes Farm where a traditional house of “Quincha” (a traditional house made with wood, cane or giant reed) was built to explain the lifestyle of Panamanian farmers.
